About us

The Horncastle WI was formed in April 2010. Our founder and first president was Marilyn Hills. The meetings were initially held in the community centre.

We have been growing steadily in numbers since then.

Our venue changed in August 2015 to WI House, Banks Street, Horncastle, Lincolnshire, LN9 5BW.

Who we are:

Sue Fitch – President

I have been a member of Horncastle WI since 2010 when it started and Secretary for the past 3 years.

I enjoy cooking, gardening and card making.  Recently my youngest grand daughter was diagnosed Coeliac and have had to relearn my baking skills as gluten free, she loves to bake with me and is very proficient.  I have been married to Leigh for 44 years.  We moved to Horncastle from the South in 2008, and WI has been a wonderful way to meet and make friends in a new area.  I am a charismatic Christian and worship at Life Church Horncastle.  Finally I am pleased to say I am a Cancer Survivor!
