Stale loaf – soak in water ,

 squeeze out excess water, put in large bowl  add

8oz brown sugar

4oz butter

2 eggs

1lb mixed fruit

Tablespoon mixed spice

 

Mix all together by hand.

Put in greased meat tin, bake at 160ish for 1 ½ hrs or less if you feel it’s cooked.

Serve in squares hot or cold

 

Delicious with custard or in a lunch box.
